TRIP ADVICE

Tips to Avoiding Jetlag:

There are many travel sites that will give you an opinion on what to do when you are traveling long-haul flights, which they’re probably all right but to us at Fabuluxe|Travels there is nothing better than a combinations of the following regiments:

  • Stay Hydrated

And by this we mean H2O, as much as we love a cocktail or two, when flying–don’t overdo the alcohol.  Trust me, I know it’s hard to resist specially in five-star airlines, where alcoholic drinks are complementary, and which we love specially when flying to Asia (e.g, Singapore Airlines, Air Nippon Airways to name a few…).

  • Wear Comfortable Clothing (layers, if possible)

Depending on the destination, of course, but we usually like to dress in layers, as some airlines like to keep the AC super low, others totally blast it to arctic levels. Personally the colder the plane is the more comfortable you can dress, but layers always do the trick.  Sweat pants, t-shirt, a light sweater or a sweatshirt always are your best friend. Also, don’t forget to pack an additional t-shirt in your carry-on.  You arrive fresh to your destination by simply wearing a clean shirt upon arrival.

  • Try get some Sleep

One of the most difficult things to do while flying for some people is the inability to sleep.  But it’s important to us when traveling to snooze an hour or two.  If impossible to sleep, we suggest natural melatonin pills (they always work).

  •        Time your sleeping cycle to your arrival time

In our over 10+ years experience travelling overseas, we highly recommend that you time your sleeping pattern to the arrival time of your destination!  So if you are arriving early in the morning, try to sleep as much as you can on the duration of your flight — Xanax if necessary!   However, if you are arriving during night time or late evening, try to snooze as little as possible during your flight.  This always works!
